We left Long Beach yesterday morning and drove to Las Vegas with a couple of stops for gas and coffee. Starting about half-way it was so dry and dusty. The shrubs and trees were all desert types and many cacti. It looked like fog but was actually dust almost obscuring the mountains. It was impossible to find wifi in Las Vegas last night but we finally found it down on Fremont Street at the Krispy Kreme store. It is available for $12.99 at the casinos for a 24 hour period but to record our 'exciting' adventures I thought it was a bit too costly! We checked into the Tropicana again since our familiarity with the area is helpful and helps us avoid disputes over directions because all the casinos are on such a large scale that once you get inside you completely lose your sense of direction.
Last night we went to Dirk Arthur's Xtreme Magic show which was very good. A very small audience which is indicative of the entire place I think. After the show we went to an Italian restaurant in the hotel for dinner. We haven't lost our children's entire inheritance yet but we certainly haven't increased it either. I think tomorrow morning my lucky quarter will work!
We are going for a prime rib dinner in a few minutes.
